TicketMaster employees are NOT happy, scrambling around looking for answers.  WTF!?

35% is 1000+ employees!

As big as they are, this downturn is affecting the tichket hub of entertainment.  Are people not going to shows any more either?  Damn.  Will AOL be next?

May they rot in hell for imposing the ticketbastard premium upon all of their ticket sales.

FS Crew October 21, 2008 at 2:47 pm

Yeah, God Damment TicketMaster, your shit shit fee on all your tickets..

Nicholas October 21, 2008 at 6:42 pm

Maybe it’s because of the crazy fees they charge per ticket?

Jimmy October 22, 2008 at 5:40 am

Hold on do you think 35% is being confused with $35M - as in the number of dollars Ticketmaster publicy told the Street it would save in the coming year to meet forecasts? Just a thought.

@Jimmy. Well, 35% would equal $35M if each of those employees made $1M each. However, with TicketBastard’s service fees, perhaps they did! ;-)

Tim,
35% would equal $35M if each of those employees made $1M each AND they only laid off 100 people. The original thread said 1000 people which would make it about $35K per employee. Later press releases put it at 300 people which triples the $ per employee. But that’s not really valid either since supposedly the layoffs were just part of the cost cutting measures - we don’t know how much of that was salary.

What those employees don’t know is that by the time you add convenience layoffs, hidden layoffs and the layoffs-via-email service there’ll hardly be anyone left working there…
